Modgy Expandable Flower Vases do everything a glass vase does except collect dust, chip or break. Available in a variety of designs, Modgy expandable vases are durable and stable enough to hold a flower bouquet. Dimensions: 10.25" X 6.25" Materials: BPA free plastic vase. Candace Wheeler (New York, 1827-1923) was the first woman to work professionally in the decorative arts in America.

An early feminist, she promoted careers in the arts for women and equality in the workplace. Wheeler founded the Society of Domestic Arts, which empowered women to turn domestic arts into financial independence. Her success led to a partnership with Louis C. Tiffany in a textile firm producing home décor.

Our lively motif was inspired by Wheeler’s Bees with Honeycomb, designed in 1881 for Mark Twain’s Connecticut home. Candace Wheeler (1827-1923) Bees with Honeycomb, 1881
